Finally, the cover for the prologue of 'Spindrift', the graphic novel I have been working on for a while!

Unless we encounter some weird problem, the first pages will be online at sometime next week.

So stay tuned, or join us on facebook: [link] or our dA group, (or both if you feel like going wild XD)

I hope you like it :D !

Prachtig gewoon! Echt geweldig!

Gorgeous visual. Your use of light and colour is perfection!! :lovely: Never have I been so prompted by a single visual to find out more, to discover this world that you are creating. Love it.

that really does help! I'll see how I fair on my own first, but yeah, that really explains things a lot better. thank you c:

I finally got to your latest page on spindrift too, i spend so much time just staring at the artwork I get lost in it (in a good way) and study how you kept the balance between the speech bubbles, the characters, and the backgrounds. Amaaazing!

Hey, thanks for reading my comic and leaving me these kind words. I'm glad that you've been enjoying it.

It's a tricky question, the one you're asking. If you should or shouldn't team up really depends on a lot of factors: personal preferences (not everyone works optimal in a team), are the right people available (is there a 'click'), and if so - do they care enough to get involved and how does their own expertise and autonomy fit within your project.

When you do opt for expanding your team, it helps to select a teammate from people that you know.
You need to find someone who's like minded, enthusiastic and interested in your project on a deeper level. Interested enough to take up some of the ownership of it and invest their valuable time into helping you out.

All in all, making comic's is just a lot of work, even if you team up with someone (Teaming up could increase the scale of the project, and the extra level of communication adds a bit of work too - though that has perks too).
I didn't really team up with Charlotte because I hoped to speed up the process, but because I valued her expertise - and recognized that I didn't have the necessary writing talents myself. We also found out that we shared many ideas about storytelling.

Also, in a way Charlotte balances me out. I tend to write pretty dramatic stories and tend to overcomplicate things, while she is skilled in making the tone of the story lighter and add some humor when needed. She's also more practical in story-problem solving than I am.

So em, what I'm saying - using to many words (sorry it's late)- first look at what your project/team really needs, then look at the people in your surrounding to see if anyone clicks with both you and the project.

I hope that helps in a way. I hope you will make your comic one day!

I took a look at your webcomic on your site and it looks amazing! I haven't gotten to chapter two yet, but the atmosphere and effort you guys put into it really pulls through very well.

I've been wanting to do a comic myself and I thought your opinion would be valuable, is it best to work with other people, or would it be okay to do one myself? I have started a few things, but I don't know how I would go about finding someone with talent to help me out to make the process go faster, but on the other hand I'd rather do it alone because I'm just picky about how things would turn out. If you have any advice please let me know your thoughts!

Hey ;)
right after commenting, I went and read all of it xD
It is now bookmarked as a comic I follow!
Of all the webcomics I follow (quite a few) yours is the most visually professional one: there's no denying it. I could easily see this one on nice, large pages.. *wants*
I like the characters; they seem real and I care for them! And the story has barely begun.. I am excited to see what happens next :)
