To celebrate the Spindrift anniversary, 50 page milestone and the arrival of the limited ed Spindrift book, I came up with an excuse to give away a few of those shiny books. The idea is simple. Be like Neburas and attach wings to innocent subjects (subject could be anything/anyone).
HOW TO COMPETE:
1: Print yourself a set of wings: small wings: [link] big wings: [link]
2: Snap a picture of an innocent subject + wings, and submit it to one of the following places: Spindrift dA group: [link] (use the contest folder) Post it on the Spindrift facebook page:[link]
PRIZES
1st place: Original sketch + Signed & Numbered Copy of the Limited Anniversary edition of Chapter #1 issue #1.
2nd & 3rd place: Signed & Numbered Copy of the Limited Anniversary edition of Chapter #1 issue #1.
If I get many entries I might throw in a few more books.
RULES:
Submit your entrie(s) before or on Monday, 15th of October (2012). You can submit multiple entries but you can win only one prize. Submit only (your own) photographs. Minor digital retouching is ok. Keep it decent (no winged shlong or other mature/offensive content please :3) You can scale up the wings, use the left wings only... whichever. As long as they are still recognizable as the wings from the image linked above.
(Ticker, my cat, took revenge on the wings after taking this picture. No cats where harmed during the making of this... the paper wings however, suffered extensively)
Haha, that's all an illusion. I stuck the wings on a hairband (because sticking them on my cat seemed mean to me ) but I had to use a flash to take the picture as she wouldn't sit still more than half a second. Right after the picture was taken, the wings where devoured XD. Thanks!
lol. And so long as the wings were put to multiple good uses, we can call it a win. Thanks for posting your gorgeous artwork, and your brilliant comic.
Gotta wait until I get home from college weekend, as I have an idea on who to stick the wings to. :3
Also, great contest idea!
